A small object made from one detail about someone you love

You give me one true detail about one person, the kind only you would notice. I build a small object around it and send you a high-resolution image of the finished piece, plus a short note on why each part is there. Not a portrait. Not a template. The object is derived from the detail: a palm-sized knocker cast as an open hand, from a line a writer almost cut from her own story; a figure that tilts on its feet, for someone who rocks back and forth when they stand still and doesn't know they do it. One object, one detail, one revision. About three days from your detail to your inbox. If nothing in my first pass is recognisably yours, I redo it. The last one landed on something I never planned, a part the owner told me not to fix. I don't promise that. I just leave room for it.

The one above was made from one buried line: 'one very scary message to get here'. Brass hand on a chunk of old plaster. When she saw it she found the strike nub sits under the palm, where the hand can't reach. She told me not to fix it.
