What you get

Knothollow is a Spooky Tree kind. Small, rare, born October 29th. He keeps a hollow in the Autumn Woodland, and two blue ghosts follow him everywhere he goes. Look at his tail: it reads as a dead branch until you catch it lit. The line on his sheet does the rest of the describing: "From hollow places grow the brightest souls." Read this before you order: Knothollow already exists. This is not a custom commission and nothing about him is made to order. You are adopting a finished, one-of-a-kind guardian, exactly as he is painted. What $35 hands you: 1. His reference sheet, full resolution, as a PNG file. Main portrait, six-tone palette, expression panels, the little-moments scenes, his favorite things and dislikes, what he carries. 2. His written profile: how he behaves on an ordinary Tuesday, what he does when the house goes quiet, the one thing he will not tolerate, and the room he would choose if the choice were his. 3. A keeper's letter, written for him and for you. How to live with a small guardian who carries embers in his tail and keeps ghosts for company. 4. His home room in the Den's Autumn Woodland, written as a walk-through you can picture. Words, not a painted room; the room art is not part of this. Items 2, 3 and 4 arrive as one PDF. Item 1 arrives as an image file with it. An excerpt from the keeper's letter, so you know what the writing sounds like: "Do not put a lid on the hollow. He keeps things in there that are not yours to see, and he will tell you about them in his own time, usually at three in the morning, usually when you have just fallen asleep." What adoption lets you do: rename him, write about him, draw him, post him wherever you like, keep him as long as you like. He belongs to one household, and that household is yours. What it does not: resell him or a copy of him, and no commercial use (merch, prints, advertising) without asking me first. The painting is one person's hand-made art; those two limits are mine to hold. No account, no app, no subscription. One payment, one household, one guardian. He goes to one person, and when he is gone he is gone: I will not sell a second Knothollow. How it works, in order: 1. You order. The "what do you need" box is a generic shop field, so leave it short or write "Knothollow" in it. You are not commissioning changes. 2. You get one email from me confirming your request, inside 48 hours (usually same day). 3. I approve it, and you are sent a single payment link for exactly $35. 4. Delivery starts when that payment confirms, and the files reach you within three days of that confirmation. If it never arrives, or it is not what this page describes, you get your money back. The shop's refund terms are on the order page. Who does the work: the guardians of the Den are painted by the hand that has made every one of them; I write the profiles, the letters and the handing-over. You get both.
